May 16 Three Sisters by Chekov in Lorca
Bringing the Russian playwright Anton Chekov into the 21st century, this production of Three Sisters in Spanish by María Rodríguez is a rather unusual one in that the three main characters, Olga, Masha and Irina, are all played by male actors, Marcos Montagud, Mario Salas de Rueda and José Ortuño.
This work was first performed at the Moscow Art Theatre in 1901, and is regarded as one of Chekhov's most outstanding plays along with The Cherry Orchard, The Seagull and Uncle Vanya.
The performance at the Auditorio Margarita Lozano in Lorca on 16th May begins at 21.00 with tickets priced at 7 and 10 euros and available online here.
