

Guidelines for submitting articles to San Javier Today
Hello, and thank you for choosing sanjavier.today to publicise your organisation’s info or event.
San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
May 15 to 18 Annual fiestas in the Caravaca village of Caneja
Plenty of food and music to celebrate the feast day of San Isidro in the Caravaca countryside
The tiny village of Caneja, a couple of kilometres south of the Barranda in the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz, is holding its annual fiestas in honour of San Isidro Labrador between May 15 and 18, with the programme for the weekend including the following:
Thursday May 15
21.00: A traditional evening meal of garlic potatoes, followed by live music.
Friday May 16
21.00 to 23.00: Migas night, with music provided by DJ Álvaro Bernal.
Saturday May 17
12.00: A local tapas route.
17.00: Children’s theatre, followed by a “Remember” party for the grown-ups until the early hours.
Sunday May 18
11.00: Holy Mass in honour of San Isidro is followed by a procession through the village.
14.00: A community paella is served.
17.00: Bingo.
