Marcus Miller, Melody Gardot and Judith Hill to star at the 2025 San Javier Jazz Festival
The 27th edition of San Javier Jazz also features Parker Barrow, Eva Slongo & Giovanni Mirabassi, Maite Martín and Mar Vilaseca
The presentation was made this week of the official poster an outline of the artists performing at the 27th edition of the San Javier Jazz Festival, which takes place this summer between June 27 and July 24.
David Martínez, the director of the festival, highlighted the presence of many female performers for the 2025 edition, including a concert by Melody Gardot in which she will be looking back over her long and illustrious career, singer and pianist Judith Hill, violinist and vocalist Eva Slongo, and Mar Vilaseca, one of the latest stars to emerge in the Spanish jazz scene. Also appearing are cantaora Maite Martín, the great bass guitarist Marcus Miller, winner of two Grammys, and the southern US rock group of Parker Barrow.
As ever, the 2025 festival is based at the open-air auditorium in Parque Almansa, although some concerts are also planned for the Winter Theatre and in the open-air on Explanada Barnuevo, in Puerto Tomás Maestre (La Manga) and the Plaza de España, where the entertainment will be free of charge.
Among the recently departed artists to whom tributes are being paid this year are Russell Malone, Lou Donaldson, John Mayall, Roy Haynes and Jordi Bonell.
Full details of the programme for the 2025 San Javier Jazz Festival will be published on this page, along with ticketing information, when they are confirmed.
