March 22 Free classical music chamber concert in Los Alcázares
Music by Bach and Cassadó at the Town Hall of Los Alcázares
The 2026 “Intermezzo” series of free classical chamber music concerts, the seventh time it has been organized, begins in the Salón de Plenos of the Town Hall on Sunday 22nd March with a performance by cellist Gabriel Ureña of Bach’s suites numbers 2 and 3 followed by the cello suite composed by Gaspar Cassadó.
This programme provides an interesting contrast between the classical baroque style of Johann Sebastian Bach and the more modern view of the same baroque ideas favoured by Cassadó, who in the 20th century added elements of typical Spanish popular music.
The concert begins at 20.00 and these events are generally extremely well attended, so make sure you arrive in plenty of time to guarantee yourself a seat!
