The Mar Menor Grand Prix in Los Alcázares is part of the ETF26 Series

March 11 to 14 Top catamaran racing in Los AlcázaresSpectacular catamaran sailing of the highest level returns to the Mar Menor off the beaches of Los Alcázares this week with six crafts from Canada, France and the UK competing in the first race of the season in the ETF26 Series.

March 11 to 14 Top catamaran racing in Los AlcázaresThis class of racing features the “flying” catamarans and skilled sailors who can reach speeds of up to 35 knots (65 km/h), making for some of the most awesome water sport you could hope to see. The action can be viewed from the seafront walk in Los Alcázares, perhaps while enjoying a coffee or a glass of beer (or a nice warm soup if the weather doesn’t warm up!).

Start time on Wednesday is programmed at 14.30, while on Thursday and Friday there is also morning racing beginning at 12.00 before the final race on Saturday at 11.00. After that, the competitors can pack away all their kit and prepare for the next events in Malcesine (Italy) and Brest and Quiberon in France.
