March 7 Dilo Reina, an alternative view of the history of drama at the seafront auditorium in Águilas
¡Dílo, Reina! at the Auditorio Infanta Doña Elena in Águilas
This off-the-wall review of the history of drama tells the story of two 17th century actresses, La Calderona and La Baltasara, who are faced with a situation in which all plays featuring leading female characters have been eliminated, and they need to complete their mission (“Dílo, Reina!”) by portraying leading ladies from the history of the theatre.
This takes the audience on a madcap journey through characters from Medea (taken from the Ancient Greek works of Eurypides) to Donna from Mamma Mia!
The show on 7th March begins at 20.00 with tickets available at 7 euros online here, or in person at the archaeological museum, the Casa de la Cultura or at the box office of the auditorium.
For more local events, news and visiting information, contact the tourist office of Águilas (telephone 968 493285) or go to the home page of Águilas Today.
