The popular golf tournament returns with a new format for 2025
The Mar Menor Golf Resort’s favourite tournament is back! The ‘MGP Race to Mar Menor’ will take place in 2025 once again, offering golf enthusiasts an exciting competition in a refreshed format.This year, competitors will battle it out in a 36-hole Stableford competition, hoping to claim the prestigious trophies. The tournament will be held at two top courses: Saurines Golf Course at Las Terrazas de la Torre Resort on Thursday March 6, and the Mar Menor Golf Resort on Friday March 7.
Interest in the tournament has been overwhelming, with all places fully booked and a waiting list already in place. The event, which has been a highlight of the resort for many years, was put on hold during the Covid-19 pandemic but is making a highly anticipated return.
Previously, the competition spanned multiple rounds, with players combining their best two results. However, this year, it will be played over just two rounds, making every shot count. Members of the Mar Menor Frolic Society snapped up all available spots within an hour of the tournament details being announced.
The prize presentation will take place on Friday March 7, at the Mar Menor Golf Resort clubhouse around 7pm.
