San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
March 15 Diez Mujeres de Cine in San Javier
Pepa Aniorte pays tribute to Spanish cinema actresses at the Winter Theatre in San Javier
The Teatro de Invierno (Winter Theatre) in the Parque Almansa in San Javier has announced a varied program for the first few months of 2025, continuing on March 15 with the show “10 Mujeres de Cine” (10 Women of the Cinema) performed by Pepa Aniarte.
The Murcia actress pays homage to actresses and singers who are among the biggest stars in Spanish movie history, telling stories about them as well as performing some of their numbers. The subjects include Sara Montiel, Lola Flores, Carmen Sevilla, Concha Velasco, Rocío Dúrcal, Karina, Marisol, Rocío Jurado and comic actress Lina Morgan, all of them performers of some of the best-known popular songs in Spain.
The show begins at 20.00 with tickets available at 15 euros online here.
