Man aged 71 dies after collapsing on a beach in Puerto de Mazarrón
The victim collapsed while at the exercise area on the promenade
A 71-year-old man died this Tuesday afternoon, August 26, after fainting on the Playa del Rihuete beach in Puerto de Mazarrón. According to a witness, the victim collapsed in the calisthenics area on the seafront promenade while exercising. Others added that he had come from the beach and felt unwell after getting out of the water.
Members of the Civil Protection Service immediately rushed to the scene, where they confirmed that the person was in cardiac arrest. They immediately attempted to resuscitate him using CPR, but despite their best efforts were unable to revive him.
