Major fire breaks out at La Manga beachside restaurant
Emergency services received more than 20 calls after flames tore through the restaurant beside Isla del Ciervo in La Manga
A fire broke out at around 8.28am at a restaurant near the Cavanna Beach area, causing a huge plume of smoke to rise up into the La Manga skyline visible for miles. Emergency services received more than 20 calls reporting the incident. The blaze affected the ZM Isla del Ciervo restaurant as well, which is located nearby.
Firefighters from the CEIS regional fire service and from Cartagena were sent to the scene.
