Los Alcázares dog lovers raise 800 euros for animal protection associations

Dozens of pet owners meet in Los Alcázares for a charity-driven day of fun and activities

On Sunday 11th January the first edition of a new event called CANpanadas was held in Los Alcázares, raising a total of close to 800 euros which was donated entirely to the local Patitas Unidas Los Alcázares and Mypu animal protection associations.

Organized by the Residencia Canina y Felina Top Dog Hotel and the Animal Welfare department of the Town Hall, the event was a combination of social interaction, activities for pets and of course a good deal of fun, and a prize draw was held for a hamper containing products donated by local businesses. As a result, a boost was given to the funds of the two organizations which work to provide animal rescue, shelter and treatment in the municipality, as well as searching for pet adoption candidates.
