Lorca tourist office to re-open in the Palacio de Guevara
The refurbished palace welcomes back Lorca tourist office
After the long refurbishment and restoration of the monumental Palacio de Guevara in Lorca the tourist office will be moving back to the building, offering services not only to those visiting the city as a whole but also those who are keen to see the interior of the palatial mansion.
Like the office in the Plaza de España, the Palacio de Guevara boasts a central location and also the advantage of easier parking, including spaces reserved for those of limited mobility. According to Santiago Parra Soriano, the Councillor for Tourism, work to fit the office out will begin as soon as possible.
Sr Parra also stressed the office’s proximity to other sites of interest on the main tourist routes in the city, which feature attractions such as the Museo Arqueológico Municipal, the muBBla and Mass embroidery museums, the Capilla del Rosario, the Centro Regional de Artesanía, the church of San Mateo, the Casino Artístico Literario, the Palacio de los Condes de San Julián and the Teatro Guerra.
In addition, the new premises are already owned by the Town Hall, so a saving will be made in rental costs!
