Locals star in the new San Javier tourist campaign for FITUR
Ten well-known residents feature in videos and posters to show what makes San Javier a great place to live and visit all year round

San Javier has launched its new tourism campaign called ‘San Javier, san bien,’ to show how good it is to live and spend time in the town. The campaign was presented recently at the Teatro de Invierno, ahead of its launch at the Fitur tourism fair.
The slogan ‘San Javier, san bien’ is a play on words in Spanish and can be interpreted as ‘San Javier, so good.’

Mayor José Miguel Luengo introduced the campaign video with Tourism Councillor Estíbaliz Masegosa. They explained that the campaign is about wellbeing, quality of life, and enjoying the town, its surroundings, and its people.
The campaign focuses on ten local people, well-known in the community and connected to different areas of tourism and business, who appear in the video and on posters. They are acting as ambassadors for San Javier and showing that the town is active all year, not just in summer.
Some of the locals featured include ‘San Valentín’ from Confiterías La Cierva, ‘Santa Pepa’ from La Lonja restaurant, ‘San José’ from Kalima Charter, and ‘Santa María’ from Apartamentos Pagán.

“This campaign is for everyone who opens their business each day, welcomes visitors, organises events, and helps keep this town running,” said the mayor. “A tourism brand only works if it’s supported by its people.”
Tourism Councillor Masegosa thanked the residents who took part and said the campaign shows San Javier is a place supported by services, activities, and opportunities throughout the year, not only during the tourist season.
