Listeria Alert: Tora smoked salmon recalled in Spain
Health authorities are telling people with Tora smoked salmon at home not to eat it after Listeria was found

Spanish food safety authorities have issued a warning after Listeria monocytogenes was found in Tora brand smoked salmon. The alert was reported by Murcia’s regional health authorities through the rapid information exchange system (SCIRI).
If you have this salmon at home, don’t eat it. The affected batch has a best-before date of April 7 2026 and comes in pre-sliced packs. Other Tora smoked salmon products made under the same conditions are also thought to be at risk.
The Spanish Food Safety and Nutrition Agency (AESAN) advises anyone with these products to check their kitchens and dispose of them safely. Listeria can be serious, especially for pregnant women, newborns, older adults, and anyone with a weaker immune system.
For the full list of affected products and batch numbers, you can check the AESAN website.
Authorities are reminding everyone to be careful with ready-to-eat foods and follow basic food safety rules at home.
