San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.

When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Piano and violín recitals in the Intermezzo season at the Town Hall of Los Alcázares

June 22 Free classical music recital in Los AlcázaresAs part of the 6th annual Intermezzo cycle of chamber music in Los Alcázares this concert features two young musicians who are quickly making a name for themselves, pianist Marco A. Reyes from Madrid and violinist María Asensi Yagüe.

In the first half of the evening Marco A. Reyes Cervantes is performing Chopin’s Nocturne in C minor (Op. 48, n.º 1, Ravel’s “Gaspard de la Nuit: I. Ondine” and Liszt’s “Reminiscencias of Norma”, while after the interval María Asensi Yagüe, accompanied on the piano by Alberto Villaescusa, offers César Frank’s violin sonata in A major and John Corigliano’s “Stomp” for violin solo.

The concert in the Town Hall of Los Alcázares begins at 20.30 and admission is free of charge.
