June 14 & 15 The spectacular San Javier International Air Festival

Aerobatic demonstrations, pilot training, markets, music and more at AIRE 25 in San Javier

June 14 & 15 The spectacular San Javier International Air Festival
San Javier is gearing up for an unforgettable weekend of aerial acrobatics as the AIRE 25 International Air Festival takes flight on Saturday June 14 and Sunday June 15, celebrating four decades of incredible aerial displays by Spain’s elite Patrulla Águila aerobatic team.

This year’s festival is extra special as it marks the 40th anniversary of the iconic Patrulla Águila. Pilots will take to the skies above the Mar Menor for a series of heart-stopping manoeuvres, colourful smoke trails and tightly coordinated formations, all from their home base at San Javier.

On Saturday June 14, the San Javier Air Base opens its gates from 10am to 6pm for a full day of activities. Visitors can explore static displays of military, civilian and international aircraft, meet pilots and learn about the technology and teamwork that powers these incredible machines.

It is a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and experience the energy of an active air base.

On Sunday June 15, the skies over the beaches of Santiago de la Ribera will become the stage for an unforgettable air show. From 10am to 5pm, the waterfront promenades of Paseo del Colón, Paseo del Atalayón and Paseo de los Castillitos will offer unbeatable views of the aerial spectacle as jets roar above the Mar Menor.
