June 7 Palmera Fest alternative arts festival in Los Alcázares
A celebration of alternative artwork and fun activities for all the family at the Playa del Espejo in Los Alcázares
The Palmera Fest event returns to the promenade alongside the Playa del Espejo in Los Alcázares on Saturday 7th June, celebrating elements of underground art, music and culture as a result of the efforts of coordinator Margarita Balsalobre Sanz.
Running from midday until midnight, the festival includes an arts and design market with over 30 stands, cultural presentations, live music, workshops and other events, all in a welcoming family environment, showcasing the talents of local artists. The music is being supplied by DJs Intergaláctico, Enemigo Rojo, Chica, Dr. Wise and NAZZZA, while live performances are scheduled by Joseluis and the Madrid-based band “Corte!”.
The market stands offer products and creations such as illustrations, books, jewellery, ceramics and clothing, and a musical story-telling session with María Talaya begins at 17.00. A series of free workshops are also being held, dealing with biomaterials, serigraphy and children’s health, and registration for these can be completed by email at palmerafest@gmail.com.
