June 4 to 9 The Burger Week returns to Jumilla
6 days of great food and music at the Paseo Poeta Lorenzo Guardiola in Jumilla
Once again the picturesque town of Jumilla in northern Murcia is hosting The Burger Week this year, with the six days of 4th to 9th June inclusive earmarked for the occasion.
The ten or so food stalls (among them the local “Calmaneta” business) and trucks are open from 19.00 to 1.00 on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th, and then without interruption from 13.00 to midnight on the remaining days, making it easy for families to attend and enjoy the atmosphere and the food.
(It should be remembered that 8th June is a regional holiday in Murcia, and that many schools will be closed on the Monday to make a “Puente”, or long weekend.)
The venue for the event is the Paseo Poeta Lorenzo Guardiola and alongside the burger stands there are also plenty of other activities and attractions, including music: on 4th June there is a tribute concert to Spanish pop-rock bands Estopa and La Oreja de Van Gogh, and the following day Geisha offer their blend of pop, flamenco y rumbas. On the remaining days there is DJ music
The Town Hall has reassured visitors that onsite toilet facilities are being provided!
