June 14 Guided visit to the Cerro del Tío Pimentón archaeological site in Jumilla
Bronze Age settlers lived in the area of Jumilla some 4,000 years ago
As part of the celebrations of the European Archaeology Days in Jumilla this free visit is being held on Saturday 14th June to the Bronze Age site of El Cerro del Tío Pimentón, where our forebears settled in the north of the Region of Murcia during the 2nd millennium BC.
Registration to join the visit, which has always been well attended in previous years, is free of charge and can be made by telephone on 968 757379. The trip starts at the car park of the municipal indoor swimming pool at 10.00, when participants will set off in their own vehicles, and during the morning there are plans for a “Bronze Age breakfast” (!!?) and wine tasting.
For more local news, events and visiting information please contact the tourist office (telephone 968 780237, email oficinaturismo@jumilla.org) or go to the home page of Jumilla Today.
