Jumilla municipal swimming pool set to open on June 20
Important renovation work is being carried out on the pool prior to its opening
The Town Hall of Jumilla has announced that despite the need for urgent repairs, the municipal open-air swimming pool alongside Avenida de la Libertad (click here for map) will open this year on Friday June 20 at 15.00, providing a welcome opportunity for locals and visitors to cool down with an afternoon dip on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year.
Prior to that it is necessary to complete work on leaks which have appeared over the last few years, and to repaint the three pools as well as repairing the drainage systems and replacing metal pipes with PVC.
At the same time, the indoor pool will close on 19th June, ensuring that regular swimmers are not left without a chance to do their daily exercise at any point.
