July 22 to August 5 3CLIPSE family documentary in the centre of Caravaca
Prepare for the solar eclipse at the church of San Sebastián in Caravaca
Among the many astronomy-related events taking place during the summer of 2026 in the municipality of Caravaca de la Cruz the projection of the acclaimed family documentary “3CLIPSE” at the church of San Sebastián is one of the most attractive.
The film was made by Astroversia, who organize many of the astronomical activities in and around Caravaca, in conjunction with the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT), the Council of Scientific Research (CSIC) and the most important planetariums of Spain and Portugal, and is being projected in Caravaca in a 360-degree wrap-around dome. Bookings can be made online here at 5 euros per head.
The title of the film is derived from the historic trio of total eclipses which will be visible in parts of Spain between 2026 and 2028, the first of them taking place on 12th August.
For more local news, events and visiting information contact the local tourist office (telephone 968 702424) or go to the home page of Caravaca Today.
