Guidelines for submitting articles to San Javier Today
Hello, and thank you for choosing sanjavier.today to publicise your organisation’s info or event.
San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

January 31 National first division women’s football as Alhama take on Logroño in Lorca
A relegation battle as Alhama host rivals Dux Logroño at the football stadium in Lorca
The Alhama de Murcia women’s football club are having a tough time of it in the national First Division this season, having amassed only 9 points from their first 17 matches, but they have a chance to improve matters slightly on Saturday 31st January in a home fixture against Dux Logroño, one of only two sides below them in the table.
The match is being played at the Francisco Artés Carrasco stadium in Lorca (click here for map) kicks off at 17.00 and tickets for spectators are priced at just 1 euro – get along there and support the Region of Murcia’s only representative in the national 11-a-side football first divisions!
