Guidelines for submitting articles to San Javier Today

San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

January 2 The New Year concert of the Lorca Symphony Orchestra
A traditional welcome for 2026 at the Auditorio Margarita Lozano in Lorca
A traditional New Year concert along the lines of the world-famous one offered every year by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in Austria is being held by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Lorca on Friday 2nd January at the Auditorio Margarita Lozano, starting at 20.30.
Alongside the orchestra, conducted by Ginés Martínez Vera, are the choirs of the José Ibáñez Martín secondary school and the Andrés García Soler and San José primary schools, as well as the Nuria Guevara Dance Studio, and the programme includes festive season favourites by Johann Strauss, Shostakovich, Gounod and Bizet, as well as selection of popular movie theme music in order to please all members of the audience.
Tickets for the concert will become available online here at 15 euros and can also be purchased at the box office of the Teatro Guerra (card payments only).
