Grey skies and scattered rain: Alicante weather forecast December 18-21
Alicante province looks set for some cloudy, unsettled days, with scattered showers and morning mist inland

As Alicante heads into the second half of December, there will be plenty of clouds, spells of rain and a generally cooler feel. While there will be a few brighter moments, especially early on, overall the weather will stay unsettled as we move towards the weekend and the winter solstice.
Thursday December 18

Thursday brings a mix of cloud and brighter spells, especially along the coast. Inland areas may see some mist or patchy fog early on, clearing through the morning. Nights turn cooler, while daytime temperatures rise slightly. Winds stay light inland, with a moderate northerly breeze along the coast.
Friday December 19

Cloud cover increases again on Friday, with skies turning mostly cloudy to overcast. Scattered showers are possible, especially near the coast, while inland areas may stay largely dry. There will be little change in temperature with conditions remaining cool. Winds remain fairly light, though coastal areas may feel a gentle northerly breeze at times.
Saturday December 20

Saturday looks to be the wettest day. Thick cloud is expected across Alicante province, with rain moving through at various points, potentially heavier along the coast before easing later in the day. Temperatures change little overall again, but the combination of rain and cloud will make it feel colder.
Sunday December 21

On Sunday, the weather will be a mixed bag. Skies stay cloudy, but rain becomes more hit-and-miss, with scattered showers rather than continuous rainfall. Cooler air moves in, and snow levels drop to around 1,200-1,600 metres, well above most populated areas, but a reminder that winter has arrived. Inland northern areas could see light morning frost, while westerly breezes keep things feeling crisp.
With cloud, rain and cooler air sticking around through the weekend, it’s a good few days to slow things down a bit. Between damp mornings and cloudy afternoons, this feels like the kind of December weather that suits long walks when the rain eases and warm cosy evenings at home with some mulled wine.
