Free guided tours for staying overnight in Lorca hotels
The rewards scheme in Lorca represents a boost for both tourist accommodation businesses and visitors!
The latest figures for tourism relating to 2025 in the city and municipality of Lorca show that the number of visitors, both from elsewhere in Spain and from other countries, continues to rise, and in order to help continue this growth the Town Hall has initiated a new scheme of incentives for those who spend at least one night in one of the hotels or other approved tourist accommodation establishments.
Under the “Dormir en Lorca Tiene Premio” scheme (“Spending the night in Lorca wins you Prizes”), those who do stay overnight will automatically receive a voucher which entitles them to a free guided tour of Lorca castle (the “Fortress of the Sun”) and a free guided visit in the Palacio de Guevara, the impressive baroque mansion which was reopened to the public as recently as two years ago following a lengthy restoration after the earthquakes of 2011 and has already become an immensely popular attraction.
After a good night’s rest in Lorca the management of the hotel will simply hand you your voucher (along with your bill!), and this voucher is valid for all those who have slept in the hotel rooms. All establishments have been invited to take part, but if for any reason you do not receive your voucher please contact the local tourist offices (the main one is right next to the Palacio de Guevara, telephone numbers 968 968 441914 / 968 479003) to solve the problem – on presenting your bill a voucher will be supplied.
For more local events, news and visiting information contact the tourist office at the Palacio de Guevara (telephone 968 441914) or go to the home page of Lorca Today.
