February 27 La Cabeza del Dragón in San Javier

The children’s story by Valle-Inclán adapted for the stage at the Winter Theatre of San Javier

February 27 La Cabeza del Dragón in San JavierRamón Valle-Inclán (1866-1936) was an important Spanish dramatist and novelist and a member of the “Generation of 98”, renowned as one of those who subverted traditional Spanish drama in the early years of the 20th century, but apart from that he also wrote one work for children: “La Cabeza del Dragón” (The Head of the Dragon).

He described the book as “a farce for children” and indeed there is a lot of farcical humour in this stage adaptation of the work, which is being performed at the Winter Theatre in Parque Almansa (San Javier) on 27th February at 21.00. Tickets are available online here at 10 euros each and can also be purchased in person at Librería Gala (Avenida Aviación Española nº 9).
