February 7 El Hijo de la Cómica, Spanish drama in Jumilla
A homage to Fernando Fernán-Gómez, at the Teatro Vico in Jumilla
Written, directed and performed by José Sacristán, El Hijo del Cómica is a homage to the life and work of Fernando Fernán-Gómez, one of Spain’s favourite novelists, playwrights, actors and cinema directors.
Born in Peru in 1921, Fernán-Gómez didn’t actually obtain Spanish nationality until 1984, and was a prolific artist well into his 80s before his death in Madrid in 2007. This show is dedicated to his younger years, as recalled in his memoir “El Tiempo Amarillo”.
The performance at the Teatro Vico in Jumilla on 7th February begins at 20.00 and tickets are available online here priced at 12, 15 and 20 euros.
For more local news, events and visiting information please contact the tourist office (telephone 968 780237, email oficinaturismo@jumilla.org) or go to the home page of Jumilla Today.
