February 6 to March 1 Historical Carnival exhibition in Jumilla
¿A que no me conoces? at the Jerónimo Molina Museum of Ethnography and Natural Science in Jumilla
This exhibition at the Jerónimo Molina Museum of Ethnography and Natural Science in Jumilla consists of photographs and other items which illustrate the history of Carnival celebrations in the town, and the meaning of the festivities within the context of local culture.
The objects include masks, costumes and other devices of deceit, showing how Carnival was a chance for freedom, creativity and social critique as the anonymity of the participants freed them to express themselves without inhibition.
