February 28 Querida Agatha, a drama based on Agatha Christi in Caravaca
Can writer Benito Pérez Galdós save Agatha Christie’s life at the recently re-opened Teatro Thullier in Caravaca de la Cruz
While staying at the Hotel Taoro in Tenerife, Agatha Christie finds that she can’t sleep as she turns over the details of her broken relationship with her husband and the recent death of her mother. These have greatly altered her perception of reality and she is even ready to overdose on a strong poison she has brought with her all the way from England.
But she is interrupted by an unexpected visit from an elegant gentleman, Benito Pérez Galdós, another writer who is staying in the hotel, who has been alerted by hearing odd noises from Agatha’s room. They immediately connect deeply, telling each other of their secrets, their phobias, their desires and their frustrations, but can Benito save the crime mystery writer’s life?
This performance (in Spanish) at the Teatro Thuillier in Caravaca begins at 18.30 with tickets priced at 15 euros and available online here.
