San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

February 14 Huellas Compartidas intercultural day in Alhama de Murcia
Music, dance, games and food from all over the world at the fairground in Alhama
A new event is being held at the Nueva Espuña fairground of Alhama de Murcia on Saturday 14th February to celebrate the huge variety of different nationalities and cultures included in the 25,000-strong population of the municipality.
Lasting from 10.00 to 18.00, the schedule for the Huellas Compartidas event includes traditional games for children, musical and dance traditions from all over the world, a chance to taste a truly international selection of culinary delights, as well as a bar/canteen service and activities designed to foster intercultural conviviality.
Admission to the fairground is free of charge and among the nations represented are Colombia, Morocco, Ukraine, The Dominican Republic, Cuba, Senegal and Ecuador.
