San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
February 12 Virtuos Mediterrani with an evening of romantic classical music in San Javier
Pianist Rae Pung performs Chopin’s 2nd Piano Concerto at the Winter Theatre in San Javier
The Teatro de Invierno (Winter Theatre) in the Parque Almansa in San Javier has announced a varied program for the first few months of 2025, beginning on 12th February with a concert offered by the Virtuós Mediterrani chamber orchestra.
The “Romántico sin Límites” concert is, according to the orchestra’s promotion, an event to be enjoyed note by note, featuring Chopin’s 2nd Piano Concerto performed by internationally renowned pianist Rae Pung from Singapore. Also on the programme is Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, and the music will be directed by the baton of resident conductor Gerardo Estrada Martínez.
The concert begins at 20.00 and tickets, priced at 16 euros, can be purchased at Librería Papelería Gala or online here (plus 86 cents costs).
