Famous low-price Primaprix supermarket opens its first store in Murcia
Known for unbeatable brand discounts, the outlet chain expands to the Region of Murcia
Murcia is welcoming its very first Primaprix supermarket, a store famous across Spain for offering top brands at incredibly low prices. Known beyond just a supermarket, as something more like an outlet, Primaprix has been growing fast since its first store opened in Madrid back in 2015. Now, after expanding to more than 260 locations over ten years across Spain and Europe, it finally arrives in the Region of Murcia.The new Primaprix opens on Thursday October 9 at Avenida de la Justicia, 1, nestled in a retail hub alongside familiar big names like Burger King and Popeyes. It's set to be open from 9am to 9.30pm, welcoming shoppers with special gifts and surprises in true Primaprix style.
Unlike typical supermarkets, Primaprix specialises in offering recognised brands at discounts that can reach up to 70 per cent. This is possible because the company buys up surplus stock, clearance items or discontinued products from across Europe. Whether it’s Maybelline cosmetics or Latin American food products, shoppers can find a wide variety ranging from snacks and refrigerated goods to household essentials - all at prices that surprise.
Primaprix now counts over 2,000 employees and serves more than 3.3 million customers annually in Spain. Its rapid expansion, averaging 35 new stores a year, speaks to the popularity of its outlet concept. The Murcia store becomes the latest stop on this growing network, joining other locations in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, and even Paris.
