December 26 Cookies and stargazing in the countryside of Caravaca

Cookies y Estrellas in the Caravaca village of La Encarnación

The first of three astronomy evenings offered by the Town Hall of Caravaca de la Cruz and Astroversia over the festive season is this “Cookies y Estrellas" experience on Friday 26^th December at the historic site of the old Roman ruins and small church in the village of La Encarnación.

The evening begins at 17.30, when darkness has already fallen, and takes place under the clear winter sky of the Caravaca countryside. First it’s time to devour the freshly baked chocolate cookies, before you’re guided by the Starlight team of experts as you explore the winter constellations. You’ll learn about fascination quirks of what the naked eye can and cannot see, and the evening ends with a photograph under the stars, a great family memento of this unusual experience!

It goes without saying the warm clothing is a must for this event, and booking is available online here at a price of 18 euros (12 euros for children under the age of 13).

The event may be cancelled if there are not enough participants or in the case of adverse weather conditions, in which case full refunds will be provided.
