Dead dolphin removed from beach in Lorca
The animal was found at the Playa de los Hierros beach in Calnegre
A dead dolphin was found on Thursday April 9 on the shore of a beach in Lorca, according to sources from the environmental association Amacope.
The animal was found at the isolated, rocky beach of Playa de los Hierros, within the Cabo Cope-Calnegre Regional Park, near to the municipal border with Águilas.
Judging by the condition of the dolphin, experts at the scene suspect that it had been dead for some time.
The animal was removed by members of the municipal emergency services with the help of a crane.
