Condado de Alhama in line to become Real Murcia's training home from 2026/27
The move would give the squad a fixed base after training across multiple locations in the Region of Murcia this season

Real Murcia is hoping to bring some much-needed stability to its day-to-day routine, with plans to move into a training base in Condado de Alhama in time for next pre-season.
For the past couple of years, the club has been waiting on approval to build a new sports complex in the city of Murcia. The idea is for that to become a long-term home, with proper facilities in one place. But with the process dragging on, attention has turned to finding a more immediate solution.
This season has been far from ideal so far. The squad has had to train in a long list of locations across the Region of Murcia, including San Pedro del Pinatar, La Torre, Mula, Cehegín, Callosa del Segura and the University of Murcia. Moving around so frequently has not only made planning more difficult, but has also meant constant changes in pitch surfaces, something that can increase the risk of injuries over time.
The proposed base in Condado de Alhama will hopefully address those issues. The site will be managed by Pinatar Arena Football Centre, a well-known football centre that regularly hosts professional teams and already works closely with the club.
From the 2026/27 season, the idea is for Real Murcia to train on newly developed land that will include two full-sized football pitches, along with changing rooms, gym facilities and storage space. It is not being seen as a replacement for the planned sports complex in Murcia, it will just be a base while that project is being completed.
The facilities are also expected to be shared with Alhama ElPozo, a top-flight women’s side competing in Liga F, the highest division of women’s football in Spain.
Location-wise, the Condado de Alhama site is around 55 kilometres from the Enrique Roca stadium, slightly closer than San Pedro del Pinatar. The real advantage lies in having a fixed base, which should allow for better organisation behind the scenes and give players and staff a more consistent environment to work in.
Alhama de Murcia Town Hall granted the planning permission on March 16 for these football pitches and facilities. Once everything is in place, it should bring some stability to Real Murcia while they wait for their new training centre to be finished.
It would also be a nice bonus for the local area, with residents potentially able to watch top-level teams train up close.
