Condado de Alhama golf course to reopen in September as work starts on 5-star hotel and football pitches
The new luxury hotel, football facilities and other expansion plans are taking shape for Condado de Alhama in 2025
Two years after unveiling the ambitious
Alhama Nature project in Condado de Alhama, the developers behind the initiative have announced that 2025 marks the beginning of its full consolidation, with major construction projects scheduled and a significant shift towards realising their long-term vision for the resort, including bringing the golf course fully up to scratch.
From this September, they say, work will begin on a 5-star hotel designed to enhance Condado’s offering for sports tourism and luxury accommodation. The low-rise hotel will feature 96 rooms, all located on the ground floor, and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. The opening is expected in early 2027, strategically aligning with major sporting milestones at the complex.
Talks are already underway with various hotel operators to manage the establishment, with early indications suggesting that up to 40% of future guests will be directly connected to the world of football. This is no coincidence, as construction of five new football pitches is also scheduled to begin in the autumn. These state-of-the-art facilities are due to be ready for the 2027 season and are part of a broader €15 million investment alongside the hotel.
In tandem with these sporting and accommodation developments, the project is preparing for a wider expansion into seasonal tourism. Plans are being drawn up for tourist apartments or aparthotels, while a second, 4-star hotel is also under consideration.
However, the development of that one will depend on the success of a new leisure area, expected to be under construction in 2026 and opening by early 2027. This area will include additional services and a broader range of restaurants to cater for an increasingly diverse guest profile.
On the residential side,
Alhama Nature continues to grow steadily. This year alone, 70 homes have been delivered, with projections suggesting that figure could rise to 110 in 2025. If market conditions remain favourable, the developers say they intend to maintain a pace of between 75 and 100 new homes annually.
The current phase includes 260 homes, due for completion by 2027, after which new residential phases will begin. The company has enough land to build a total of 900 homes and has already sold two plots to international developers, each intended for 150 dwellings.
With construction projects now entering a decisive phase and the long-planned improvement in infrastructure looking set to come to fruition within the next two years, it seems that – with any luck – Alhama Nature’s big plans for the Condado de Alhama Golf Resort will no longer be just a vision; it is all set to become a tangible, dynamic hub for sport, wellbeing and residential life in Murcia.
