San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

Rain and storm warnings for today and an unsettled week ahead
Weather warnings for Monday
Another week of unsettled weather is on the cards for Alicante province, with scattered showers likely on most days, according to state meteorological agency Aemet.
Warnings for storms and rain are in place today, particularly in the north of the province.
There will be some sunshine about, especially on Tuesday morning but quite a lot of cloud too.
Temperatures should remain fairly stable though, with minimums around the high teens nearer the coast and maximums in the low to mid 20s.
Monday, October 13
Storms and some showers around this afternoon
A very cloudy or overcast morning with scattered showers and storms, which could be locally quite heavy and persistent in the northern third of the province, where there is an orange warning in place from 11am until midnight, while the south and interior are only on yellow alert.
Not much change to yesterday’s temperatures, with minimums averaging about 18ºC and maximums 25ºC, but cooler inland.
There is a moderate, occasionally quite strong north-easterly wind on the coast, but the wind is light and variable elsewhere, with a predominantly easterly component and moderate intervals in the middle of the day.

Hopefully some sunshine on Tuesday morning
The warning for storms and rain in the north is downgraded to yellow but remains in place from midnight until 7am.
Intervals of low cloud followed by cumulus clouds with vertical development in the afternoon.
A slight drop or no change in minimum temperatures, maximums rising slightly inland and remaining unchanged on the coast.
Moderate northerly wind on the coast, elsewhere light north-easterly wind becoming easterly in the middle of the day.

Wednesday, October 15
Cloud and more showers in the afternoon
Cloudy intervals in the morning, which could be thicker at the southern and northern ends of the province and very cloudy in places around the middle of the day.
Some scattered showers will move down from the north in the morning across the whole province in the afternoon.
The rain is expected to end by the later afternoon-early evening but the skies may well remain overcast.
Slight drops in minimum and maximum temperatures and light, variable winds with a predominantly northerly component.

Quite a few showers expected in the afternoon
Another cloudy or very cloudy morning, with scattered showers at the northern and southern ends of the province.
Cloudy intervals and scattered showers all over the province in the central hours of the day but drying up later on.
Minimum temperatures are expected to rise slightly or remain the same, while maximums should rise slightly on the coast and fall slightly inland.
Light, easterly winds in the morning, gradually becoming increasingly northerly as the day goes on.
