The popular Cartagena Harbour Tour is restarting its programme for the summer, beginning at the end of May.Yes, Cartagena Harbour Tours are setting sail again, offering visitors the chance to take a boat trip around the city’s top seaside sights.Cartagena has long been considered as the best natural harbour in the western Mediterranean, and by the 18th century it became completely fortified with coastal batteries.The tour consists of a short introductory walk by the seafront, covering very little distance, to visit some historical military facilities, followed by a 1-hour boat ride around the harbour. In the middle, there is an hour-long visit to an 18th-century fort at the mouth of the harbour, a truly not-to-be-missed chance to enjoy both the sea and its surrounding scenery while learning about its history.All in all, a Cartagena Harbour Tour lasts for three hours. Please bear in mind that, although this outing can be suitable for kids, it is mainly a tour about NAVAL HERITAGE.Tours leave at 10am from Cartagena’s main tourist office and drop you back again in time for lunch.It costs 20 euros per person.
