Camposol gardening group volunteers spruce up Sectors B and C

Community gardening and cleaning groups continue their work across the urbanisation

Local volunteer groups have been hard at work this week improving public areas in Camposol, with teams active in both sector B and sector C.

In Sector B, the Camposol B Clean Gardening Group tackled the central reservation opposite the petrol station on January 21. The area had become heavily overgrown and had not been worked on for a couple of years.

Volunteers cut back bushes and cleared the kerb sides, making a noticeable difference. The work also revealed the yellow no parking line that has always been in place, so residents are reminded that parking there could result in a fine if the Guardia Civil attend.

The group will return next Tuesday to finish the job, as additional tools are needed for the trees at the far end. New volunteers are always welcome.

Meanwhile in Sector C, eight volunteers were out on the same day with Green Fingers Camposol working in lower sector C. Kevin and Alan filled in several potholes, Matt carried out planting at the memorial garden and John, Sandy, Jackie and Paul trimmed olive trees along Calle Puerto Lumbreras.

John supported the work by managing the collection bucket. The group thanked everyone who stopped to donate and also Cat’s Bar Camposol for providing breakfast.
