Swimming in the sea was prohibited at the Cartagena beach this weekend
The beach of
Cala Reona in Cartagena has reopened this Monday June 17 after being closed to swimmers this weekend “as a result of the episode of storms that occurred last Wednesday,” according to municipal sources in a statement.
Analyses carried out by the Council have confirmed that the water quality has “fully” recovered and that now “bathing is safe”.
Cala Reona was closed to swimmers due to the poor quality of the water in June of 2023 too when the outfall pipe was damaged by storms.
