British tourist, 52, drowns in Mallorca hotel pool
The holidaymaker was found floating face down at a hotel in S'Illot
A 52-year-old British man drowned in a hotel pool in S'Illot, in the Mallorcan municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, on Tuesday July 29.
The hotel's staff found the tourist's body floating face down in the swimming pool, according to local sources. The workers notified the emergency services at around 8.30am.
Hotel workers dragged the man from the pool and tried to resuscitate him until paramedics arrived, but sadly nothing could be done to save his life.
He was in cardiac arrest due to drowning and was pronounced dead at the scene.
