Brand-new easyJet and Ryanair flights from UK to Málaga and Almería coming in 2025
Almería Airport and Málaga-Costa del Sol will have flight connections with two more UK airports for summer 2025
Travellers from the UK will have more options to explore southern Spain next year, with new routes announced by easyJet and Ryanair. The flights, set to launch for the summer season 2025, will connect British airports with Málaga and
Almería, boosting access to popular holiday destinations on the Costa del Sol and the Costa de Almería.
easyJet expands routes to Almería
British airline easyJet has revealed plans to connect Almería Airport with London Luton airport, starting in June 2025. The route will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays until October 2025.
This new service joins existing connections to Almería from London Gatwick and London Southend. During the peak summer season, easyJet will operate seven weekly flights to London across these three airports.
Not only that, but Ryanair will also increase the frequency of its summer routes to both Manchester and Brussels, with one more weekly frequency for each route starting on the last weekend in March 2025. That means there will be three Ryanair flights a week to Belgium and four a week to Manchester.
Ryanair’s new link between Málaga and Teesside
Meanwhile, Ryanair has announced a new route connecting Málaga Airport with Teesside Airport in Darlington. Starting on 31 March, 2025, the flights will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays until late October, catering to demand for a direct connection to the Costa del Sol.
This development is part of a commitment made by Tees Valley mayor Ben Houchen to expand flight options at Teesside Airport.
“The people of Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool have been asking for more sunshine destinations, and we’ve delivered exactly that with Ryanair’s fantastic support,” Houchen said.
Teesside Airport’s managing director, Phil Forster, highlighted the behind-the-scenes efforts to secure this route, which responds to high demand from local passengers. The new flights are seen as a significant boost for the airport and the region, promising greater opportunities for leisure travel to one of Spain’s most sought-after destinations.
With these new flight options, easyJet and Ryanair are offering more choices than ever for British holidaymakers wanting to come to the south of Spain and for people living in Andalucía to be able to pop over to the UK.
