Boost for Los Alcázares tourism as Punta Calera hotel reopens after 15 years
The building, which has been closed for over 15 years, is now set to revitalise Punta Calera commercial area
Los Alcázares Town Hall is celebrating the reopening of the new Aparthotel Punta Calera, in the commercial area of the district of Los Narejos.
With 52 full-equipped apartments, each with a bathroom and a kitchen, over four floors, the council hopes the hotel will attract “active, sustainable and quality tourism all year round”.
There are apartments for two, four or six people, a 24-hour reception open all year round, a café service, massages and parking, which includes electric vehicle recharging points.
The reopening after 15 years symbolises not only the recovery of vital infrastructure, but also a boost for the commercial area of Punta Calera.
It is conveniently located near to the Punta Calera thermal spa, the municipal swimming pool and the sports centre.
Projects like this also generate employment and economic activity, and cement Los Alcázares as a tourist destination, according to the local Councillor for Tourism María José Díaz Aragón.
She also thanked the company that owns the hotel, La Niña del Sur.
