August 26 Mamma Mia by the beach in Los Alcázares!
Meryl Streep, Pierce Prosnan, Colin Firth and the music of Abba light up the night in the Plaza del Espejo!
Year after year goes by but for many of us – and not only the generation who remember Abba in their heyday – the film of the musical Mamma Mia!, featuring many of the supergroup’s best-known hits, remains one of the go-to movies for a feel-good evening of fun, tears, laughter and great music.
For this reason, the Plaza del Espejo, right next to the Mar Menor in the centre of Los Alcázares, will be a popular place to take a comfy beach chair and relax with a bag of crisps or a dish of popcorn in the evening of Wednesday 26th August, as Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård, Julie Walters, Amanda Seyfried and the rest of the cast return to entertain us for an hour and 40 minutes!
The screening begins at 22.00, perfect to enjoy the cool of the late August evening while you sing or hum along!
For more local information in English, including news, what’s on and visiting advice, contact the tourist offices in Los Alcázares (main telephone number 968 575756) or go to the home page of Los Alcázares Today.
