August 7 to 31 Solmarket leisure and gastronomy fair in Los Alcázares
Fun, music, games, shopping at food every evening in Los Narejos
The Parque del Gonio, close to the shore of the Mar Menor at the northern end of Los Narejos, welcomes the open-air Solmarket event to the Region of Murcia for the very first time between 7th and 31st August, bringing with it live music, 15 food trucks, entertainment, arts and crafts and children’s activities.
Among the food trucks it is worth highlighting the presence of Jenkin’s restaurant, winner of the “Best Hamburger in Europe” award in 2023! Alongside the gastronomic area is a market where stands offer numerous kinds of products including jewellery, ceramics, candles and the like and even a circus zone, with stilt walkers, magicians and live performers.
The late evening entertainment includes musical tributes to artists including Estopa, Melendi, Coldplay and Bruno Mars.
The event will be open from 19.00 to 00.30 every day of the week, occupying an area of over 5,000 m² as it continues its success along the eastern coast of mainland Spain in recent years.
According to local Mayor Mario Pérez Cervera, this kind of initiative encourages “quality tourism” and represents a boost for the local economy, and he hopes that the lights of Solmarket will be seen in Los Alcázares during the summer for many years to come.
