Guidelines for submitting articles to San Javier Today
Hello, and thank you for choosing sanjavier.today to publicise your organisation’s info or event.
San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

August 6 to 9 Annual summer fiestas in Calabardina
Live music and other events in the village at the foot of Cabo Cope
The 2026 annual summer fiestas of Calabardina, the small fishing port and holiday destination which nestles at the foot of the headland of Cabo Cope in the municipality of Águilas, are taking place over the weekend of 6th to 9th August.
The schedule of events includes the following:
Thursday August 6
20.00: The bar opens in the marquee.
20.30: Charity walk at the foot of Cabo Cope
22.00: Party for young people with entertainment from Edu Mambo
Friday August 7
19.00: Foam party in the marquee.
22.00: An evening of flamenco singing with Rosi Campos and guitarist Manuel del Torero.
Saturday August 8
9.00: Cycle ride in and around Calabardina, starting at the marquee.
22.00: Magic and humour with Lolita Torres and her talking dolls.
23.00: Live music from Los Ratones.
Sunday August 9
9.00: Breakfast and a gathering of classic cars and motorcycles.
20.30: Music with singers Salvador “El Marinas”, José Antonio”El Andaluz” and Miguel Ángel “El Marqués”.
22.00: Live music from Aires D’Veleta.
