August 21 to 23 Summer fiestas in Pinar de Campoverde

Live musical entertainment in Plaza Florida as the residential area of Pinar de Campoverde celebrates the end of summer

When it was first created in the 1960s the residential area of Pinar de Campoverde was very much a summer retreat for the summer, with most of the houses used exclusively as second homes for the holidays, but during the 1980s and 90s it became increasingly popular with buyers from northern Europe looking to spend their retirement in the sunny climes of the southern Costa Blanca.

At the same time, the profile of the residents shifted from being temporary summer visitors to all-year occupants, and shops and businesses were set up to serve them.

However, one of the aspects of life in Pinar de Campoverde which hasn’t changed is the date of the annual fiestas, which are held in late August to mark the end of the traditional summer holidays, and the entertainment programme for 2026 includes the following:

Friday August 21

21.00: Performance by the “RUMBEMBE” Salsa and Bachata school in Plaza Florida (click for map).

Saturday August 22

21.00: Performance by the Raquel Peña Castanet School in Plaza Florida.

21.30: Performance by the “LA AMISTAD” Flamenco Group, directed by Paqui Samper Navarro, in Plaza Florida.

22.30: BEATLES Tribute Show in Plaza Florida.

Sunday August 23

11.00 to 14.00: Children's water games and foam party in Plaza Florida.
