August 17 and 19 Free musical guided tours of the history of Los Alcázares!
The tours are offered during the fiestas of the Semana Internacional de la Huerta y el Mar
During the 2025 fiestas of the Semana Internacional de la Huerta y el Mar in Los Alcázares (August 14 to 23) it has been announced that two special guided tours are being held on Sunday 17th and Tuesday 19th.
These tours are an informative and musical visit to learn about some of the monuments and anecdotes surrounding the growth of Los Alcázares since a Roman villa was built in the area and reaching modern times, when the town became municipality in its own right in 1983. Special emphasis is placed, logically enough, on the strong connections with the “huerta” agricultural land around the city of Murcia, connections which gave rise to the fiestas of the Semana de la Huerta y el Mar.
The visit is led by Antonio Zapata with music provided by Tomás García and Paco Frutos and the visits begin at 19.30 in the Plaza del Espejo (click for map).
Registration is available by email at cultura@losalcazares.es and group sizes are limited to 45 for logistical reasons.
For more local news, events and visiting information contact the tourist offices in Los Alcázares or go to the home page of Los Alcázares Today.
