August 16 and 17 Young Fest in Jumilla
Youth culture in the spotlight during the annual fiestas of Jumilla
Among the new additions to the annual Fiestas de la Vendimia (grape-picking fiestas) in Jumilla, which take place this year from 14th to 23rd August to coincide with the time of year when the activity in the town centres around the need to ensure that the fruit grown in local vineyards makes its way in prime condition to the numerous wineries in the area, is the Young Fest, which is being held at the Arzobispo Lozano secondary school on 16th and 17th August.
This is an event designed for young adults and artists, featuring urban music and new cultural trends. The musical performers on the first day, Sunday 16th August, are, Julia Cry, Mamba Negra, Guaycee y Sebaz and Zous, beginning at 23.00, while the following day features the “Batalla de Promesas”, a freestyle competition involving creativity and improvisation.
