San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb

August 14 to 16 Monastrell Sound music festival in Jumilla
Lori Meyers, Malmö 040, Nyno Vargas and others provide the musical backdrop to the annual fiestas and fair in Jumilla
During the annual Fiestas and Fair in Jumilla this August, coinciding with the beginning of the grape harvest, a series of live concerts and other musical evenings is being held at various venues, including the Monastrell Sound festival on 14th, 15th and 16th of the month.
On Friday 14th August the bill is topped by Lori Meyers, Madbel DJ and a DJ Set, while the following day it’s the turn of Malmö 040, Karlan and Second DJ. Throughout the event the DOP Jumilla wine labels are being promoted and a special wine bar is being set up along with the more “traditional” bar in the grounds of the Arzobispo Lozano secondary school.
Tickets for each of the two days are priced at 25 euros in advance or 30 euros on the gate, while a 2-day pass can be purchased for 40 euros.
Other live concerts during the fiestas include the following:
Sunday August 16: an evening of folk music with El Gato con Jotas in the Jardín de la Glorieta. Starts at 23.00.
Tuesday August 18: Legendary group Los Diablos at the Arzobispo Lozano secondary school. Starts at 23.30.
Wednesday August 19: A children’s Disney musical at the Arzobispo Lozano secondary school. Starts at 21.00.
Thursday August 20: Nyno Vargas live in concert at the Arzobispo Lozano secondary school. Starts at 23.30.
Friday August 21: A Queen tribute concert at the Arzobispo Lozano secondary school. Starts at 23.30.
Sunday August 23: Cristina Ramos and the local AJAM music society in the Jardín de la Glorieta. Starts at 22.30.
In addition, the traditional evenings of light music are returning to the Jardín Rey Don Pedro, with performances by Granujas de Medio Pelo (14th August), Isabel Ruiz (17th August), Altiplanes (18th August) and Bis a Bis (19th August).
